Mission

Anant Ayurveda was established in 2018 in memory of Late. Vd. Anant V. Bakre, an eminent Ayurveda professor of his time. Practitioners and volunteers involved in Anant Ayurveda, follows principles of Ayurveda for sustainable health improvement in society.

Late Vd. ANANT VISHNU BAKRE

Vd. Anant V. Bakre was an eminent Ayurveda Professor of Ayurved Sharirkriya (Physiology) Department. He worked with Govt. Ayurvedic Colleges at Mumbai, Nagpur, Usmanabad, Nanded for nearly 30 yrs.

He has written two books about Ayurveda. He has also written many articles in Ayurved Patrika(āyurveda patrikā), Marathi periodicals. He was sadhak of vipassana and rendering his teaching skills at vipassana centres to meditators.

For two years, he took up Principal post at Sumatibhai Shah Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya. This college is located in Pune at Malwadi, Hadapsar. The college is managed by Maharashtra Arogya Mandal.

In 2008, he came across an article about a monument of Bhagwan Dhanwantari at Moti Dhanej, Saurastra, Gujarat. With his beloved friend Vd. P. T. Joshi (वैद्य प्र. ता. जोशी Nana Joshi), Dhule, he visited this sacred place and spent some time there to get complete knowledge of that place. Rest of life he worked to offer an actual tribute to that sacred place by arranging Samhita Nirupan there with the help of Vd. Anant Dharmadhikari, and even finding it’s archaeological importance.

For three generations in her extended family, She made Ayurveda as a household pathy and way to achieve sustainable health. Being daughter of Vaidya Pandurang Hari Deshpande, she continued to serve in Ayurveda as a family tradition. She achieved Ayurved Pravin title in 1960. She worked at ayurvedic hospitals like Sonawane Hospital, Tarachand Hospital in Pune.

She married to Vaidya Anant Vishnu Bakre, both having Ayurveda and Indian Classical Music as a common interest. She had vivid experience of consultancy as she worked at different locations like Pune, Nanded, Nagpur, Mumbai, Badalapur. Her husband Vd. Anant Vishnu Bakre, being a man with principles, followed his non-practicing obligation and let her continue private practices. At Nanded, she worked at Govt. Ayurvedic Hospital.

From 1978, Vd. Vishakha Bakre, settled at Badalapur and started consultancy her own consultancy and Aushadh Nirman. She also used to visit at Vd. Bindumadhav Charitable Trust – Matunga (Mumbai), Rasali Pharmaceuticals at Badalapur as consulting Vaidya. From the childhood she is involved in Aushadh Nirman and that is her forte. She is expert in preparing Granthokta Ayurvedic medicines. Her ayurvedic treatment on jaundice cured many patients during pandemic at Nanded.

Vd. Anant Dharmadhikari

Vd Anant Dharmadhikari

Vd. Anant Bhagwant Dharmadhikari, is a respected national figure in Ayurveda. He started his career in teaching as an Assistant Professor with Government Ayurvedic Medical College Department and rose to the post of Principal and Director of Ayurvedic Department of Maharashtra Government. Post retirement, he is associated with universities, Government Institutions and NGOs in various capacities. Having a desire to spread ayurveda, he has delivered many lectures on Charak Samhita (caraka saṃhitā). His basic area interest is Chakrapani Tika (cakrapāṇī ṭīkā), Chikitsa Sidhanta(cikitsā sidhdāṃta), Panchkarma (paṃcakarma).

His writing is acclaimed by Ayurveda Vaidya and students. He has written research papers and many articles in Ayurved Patrika (āyurveda patrikā). His book ‘Charak Uhan‘(caraka ūhana), is a hallmark of his command over the subject and simplifying skills. He has extensively researched on subject’s like Dosh Prakop (doṣa prakopa), Anukt Vyadhi Chikitsa (anukta vyādhī cikitsā). Vd. Anant Dharmadhikari is mentoring students about these subjects through classical ayurvedic books. He is guiding many students from different universities in India. Students respect him for his astonishing memory and presenting reference of Granthas (graṃtha) and Samhitas (saṃhitā). To name a few awards he received are Charak Award of Vaidya Khadiwale Trust, Mamasaheb Gokhale Uttam Vaidya Award and Special Appreciation Award by S.D.M. Ayurvedic College at Hasan, Karnataka.
