Background
Program for Health Improvement of tribal students in Aine, Taluka Dahanu, District Palghar
The Rural Health Initiative was launched in December 2019, starting with a student health camp (Arogya Shibir) in the Palghar district. This initial program provided essential health services to tribal students, parents, and teachers, laying the groundwork for broader rural healthcare development.
The core objectives were to provide patient follow-ups, conduct medical check-ups, and raise health awareness across local hamlets, including Aine Pada, Rankol Pada, and Shelti Pada. Following the distribution of medicines during the December camp, patients showed measurable health improvements. The team received encouraging feedback from the local community, with notable recovery and high satisfaction reported by individuals treated for skin and joint disorders.
